This is a guide to the intelligent races of tamriel. So far be believe
these will all reside in the province of Cryodil. We'll have to wait for
oblivion to see if there are more or less.
Argonian
These reptilian creatures have a resistance to poisons and diseases, they are
also very intelligent and can quickly become very good with magic. Like the
Khajit they are often seen as slaves and are unable to wear full armour. There
ability to breath underwater makes them excellent explorers.
Altmer
Altmer (a.k.a High Elves) make natural sorcerers and are highly intelligent.
They are also resistant to disease but weak to magic attacks. (makes no sense to
me being skilled with magic but have a dire weakness to it but I didn't make
this cool game) Their culture is very traditional and highly organised. They try
to avoid contact with ?lesser? races.
Brenton
They are skilled in magic and are resistant to it. They have very annoying
voices and the one in Vivec that?s prancing around wanting to be a theatre
performer is on my 'Kill when a werewolf' list. (they won't know its me...i'll
make sure of it!)
Bosmer
Bosmer (a.k.a Wood elves, or Forest Folk) are natural archers and also make good
thief?s. They are small, resistant to diseases and are skilled with light
armour. They prefer to live in harmony with their natural surroundings, and
dislike the thought of Civilised trapping of the other cultures
Dark Elves
Dark Elves (a.k.a Dunmer) are the native residents of Morrowind, they dislike
outsiders and some still like in tribal groups. Dark elves can be trained as
mages or sword fighters, they have a strong resistance to fire. Dunmeri culture
is colorful and vibrant.
The great houses were formed by the Dark Elves as was the Commora Tong, a
criminal syndicate that hates outlanders and the Theifs guild
Imperial
Skilled traders and fighters. There high level of speech craft allows them to
get the best deals and the best info out of even the most tight lipped/fisted
person! Most imperials are trained in sword play and medium armour.
Khajit
The ones found in Morrowind make good thief?s as they are quick, intelligent,
stealthy and get a large agility bonus. Although they are unable to wear full
suites of armour do not underestimate there ability to hit hard and quickly.
Khajit are often used as slave labour in Vvardenfell. The feline Khajiit
originate from the arid northern wastelands and southern jungles of Elsweyr, in
southern Tamriel.
Nord
Similar to the orc's but resistant to frost, they are strong in battle and
trade. The Nords of Solstheim have there own special armour, weapons and nature
magic. If you complete there tasks they will give you the ability to summon wolf
and bear companions. Chris/Prowler says: they also have a risistance to shock
magic and in Solstheim they will sell you custom armour sets. (happy hunting)
Orc
Strong, enduring and solid that sums up orcs. Also know as Orsimer, They are
best in melee fighting with a good sword, axe or spear. They have a natural
magic resistance and are great at repairing there armour and weapons themselves.
they specilise in heavy armour (which is prized throughout Tramriel) and have
there own orc armour, search and ye shalt find
Redguard
Excellent sword fighters, they are resistant to poison and disease plus get the
adrenaline rush ability. (a life saver in combat) Their culture and society
relies on discipline and self reliance (as they developed away from other races
of men). They are regarded as fine skilled boatmen and skilled warriors. There
skills have make them perhaps the finest warriors
